Q. How long does my hair have to be to start locks? 

  A. Two inches of growth is needed depending on hair texture.

Q. If I have a relaxer/texturizer in my hair can I get twist/locks?        

A. No, relaxer permanently straightens the hair, preventing the hairs ability to twist. Only new-growth can be twisted.

Q. What is the difference between locks and twist?

 A. Twist is the first step in the (dread) lock process. If you are not locking, twist can be combed out.

Q. How long is the locking process? 

 A. One month, but sometimes can take up to a year. It depends on the texture of the hair.

Q. How long would it take to get my hair twisted?   

A. An average of 1 ½ to 3 hours, depending on the length and thickness of the hair.           

Q. How often do I have to get my locks maintained?      

  A. Approximately every two/three weeks to keep it looking nice and neat, you can go up to four weeks depending on the style and texture of the hair.           

 Q. Can I swim with locks?  

 A. Yes, by the time your twists are locked, the hair is in permanent state.            

 Q. Can I swim with twist?

  A. With some styles and textures yes, although it’s not recommend.
